Troubleshooting Guide for Signature Scents Diffusers

Troubleshooting Guide

1. Diffuser Not Turning On

  • Check the Power Source: Ensure the diffuser is plugged into a working outlet. If using batteries, make sure they are inserted correctly and have sufficient charge.
  • Inspect the Power Cord: Look for any signs of damage or wear. Try using a different power cord if available.
  • Reset the Diffuser: Unplug the diffuser, wait for 2 minutes, then plug it back in and try turning it on again.

2. No Mist or Weak Mist Output

  • Use the Correct Oil: Signature Scents diffusers will only work with fragrance oils that are designed for waterless diffusers.
  • Check for air pressure: Place your finger over the outlet hole while the diffuser is running. Feel for air pressure. If you can feel air pressure the pump is running correctly.
  • No Air Pressure: Unscrew the blue bottle and re-screw it back in. Make sure you firmly twist the machine closed (tower models only). If the diffuser is not correctly closed it will not allow the diffuser pump to activate. 
  • Oil Level: Ensure the oil bottle is filled to an appropriate level where the clear tube is fully inserted. Do not overfill.
  • Clean the Atomizing Core: Over time, oil deposits can build up on the atomizing core. Replace the oil in the blue bottle with rubbing alcohol. Run the diffuser with the rubbing alcohol for 15 - 20 minutes. If this does not clear the blockage remove the atomizing core and soak it in alcohol. Follow the instructions in this video.
  • Check for Obstructions: Make sure there are no blockages in the air outlet.

3. Diffuser Making Unusual Noise

  • Oil Level: Check if the oil level is too low or too high.
  • Positioning: Ensure the diffuser is on a flat, stable surface. Vibrations can cause noise if the diffuser is on an uneven surface.

4. LED Light Not Working

  • Check Light Settings: Ensure the LED light function is turned on.
  • Reset the Diffuser: Sometimes resetting the diffuser can resolve this issue. Unplug for a few minutes, then plug it back in.
